Challenge
When the Tourism Development Company of Trinidad & Tobago (TDC) launched the yearly event ’Taste of T&T” in 2010 we wanted to make the the experience even better for both T&T and tourists visiting.

Solution

  • We introduced Taste T&T to the international element, with inviting Mr. Claus Meyer to attend the event in 2010.
  • We published various effective and engaging articles in key newspapers and travel / lifestyle magazines.

Results

  • Meyer, the co-owner of the World’s best Restaurant for 3 consecutive years, did an outstanding performance with a workshop / demonstration for 60 2nd grade students from Trinidad & Tobago’s Culinary School.
  • In parallel, he participated and inspired in a discussion with the premium chefs in Trinidad & Tobago and created as a final a reception for dignitaries and officials, presenting local dishes in a new, modern way, receiving standing applaud from the audience.

B. ‘Press tours on Star Clippers’ cruising ships’

A popular destination for Scandinavian tourists is the Caribbean islands. One of United Spirit Nordic’s clients in the area is the Swedish owned Star Clippers Ltd, whom offers sophisticated travellers a unique experience on one of their cruising vacation ships.

Solution

  • United Spirit Nordic has arranged numerous press trips for key Scandinavian journalists and media influencers.
  • We published various effective and engaging articles in key newspapers and travel / lifestyle magazines.
  • We have brought teams to coordinate planned routes that include diving, golfing, eco-adventure, MICE and culinary experiences.
